Terms of Service

These terms apply to all quotes provided and work carried out by Epoxy Floor Sealers PTY LTD (ABN 93 672 812 930) ("EFS", "we", "us", "our"). By requesting a quote or accepting our written estimate, you agree to these terms.

1. Quotes and estimates

• All quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued.
• Quotes are based on the information you provide (size, condition, intended use) and may be adjusted after a site inspection.
• If the substrate, area, or scope changes once work begins, we will issue a variation in writing before continuing.

2. Bookings and deposits

• To secure a booking, a 30% deposit is payable after written acceptance of the quote.
• The deposit reserves your install dates and covers material ordering.
• The balance is payable on completion of the work, unless agreed otherwise in writing.

3. Cancellation and rescheduling

• Cancellations more than 7 days before the scheduled start date will receive a full deposit refund less any non returnable materials already ordered.
• Cancellations within 7 days may forfeit the deposit to cover labour and material commitments.
• Rescheduling is free if requested more than 48 hours before the start date.

4. Customer responsibilities

To allow us to carry out the work safely and on time, you agree to provide:

• A clear, empty workspace (vehicles, shelving and stored items removed before the start date).
• Reasonable access to the site, including parking for our vehicles and trailer.
• Access to power and water as required.
• Information about any known substrate issues, slab defects, or chemical exposure history.
• Strata or owners' corporation approval if applicable (your responsibility, not ours).

5. Substrate condition

Our 4 coat system relies on a sound, structurally stable concrete substrate. We diamond grind every floor before priming, which exposes any underlying defects (cracks, delaminating screeds, hidden moisture). Where these are discovered, we'll discuss the options before continuing. Repair work outside the original scope may be quoted as a variation.

6. Curing and use

The 4 coat system follows manufacturer recommended curing windows:

• Foot traffic: 24 hours after final coat.
• Light vehicle traffic: 72 hours after final coat.
• Hot tyre/full load: 7 days after final coat.

Damage caused by use before these windows expire is not covered under warranty.

7. Workmanship warranty

We provide a written workmanship warranty on every completed job. The warranty covers defects in the application of the coating system. For example, delamination, lifting, or blistering caused by installation error.

The warranty does not cover:

• Damage from impact, abrasion, dragging heavy items, or sharp objects.
• Damage from chemical spills outside the system's rated resistance (e.g., battery acid, paint stripper).
• Hydrostatic pressure from moisture rising through the slab where moisture testing was declined or no vapour barrier was present.
• Movement cracks caused by underlying slab issues disclosed before work began.
• Fading or yellowing caused by direct UV exposure beyond the product's rated UV stability.
• Use of the floor before the recommended cure times.

8. Materials and colour

We use professional grade products from EpiMax, Sika, Tremco/Flowcrete and Fosroc. Small batch to batch variation in flake colour and base tint is normal. We'll match as closely as practical to any sample or reference you provide, but exact replication isn't guaranteed.

9. Photography

We may take photographs of the completed work for use on our website, social media and in marketing materials. If you'd prefer we don't, please let us know in writing before work begins.

10. Payment terms

• Balance is due on completion. Accepted methods: bank transfer or card.
• Overdue invoices may attract interest at the rate of 2% per month from the due date.
• Title to all materials remains with EFS until the invoice is paid in full.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any defect or loss is limited to either re performing the work, supplying equivalent services, or refunding the amount paid for the affected portion of work. At our discretion. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or economic loss (such as loss of business income or rental income).

Nothing in these terms excludes any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law, including guarantees of acceptable quality and fitness for purpose.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any dispute will be subject to the non exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of NSW.
